new blog
Hi All:
Welcome to the blog for communication history and theory for the summer quarter of 2006. I hope this is a site where we can continue to discuss and debate design issues beyond our once a week class. A question: In her book, Substance of Style, Virginia Postrell states that style matters and it is part of our identity. She describes a process where we think: "I like that. I'm like that." Is there any object that you own that you feel expresses your identity? Describe the design or appearance of the object. If you can, please bring it to class on Monday. Looking forward to some good discussions.
